Twitter Fights Against Terrorism And Suspended 125,000 Accounts

Twitter is one among the biggest social networking websites which has more than 500 Million users who engage daily. Like Telegram, Twitter has also started blocking the accounts which share spammed pictures and content by their tweets and profiles.

Twitter writes a blog post on Combating Violent Extremism

Since 2015, we have suspended more than 125,000 accounts against terrorism. We condemn the use of Twitter to promote terrorism and Twitter rules make it clear that this type of behavior or any violent content threat, is not permitted on our service.  

The company has recently increased the team size to review content related to terrorist activity on their social network and generated reports. Also tells that we have not used any magic algorithm to detect the terrorist content, but we have used some of the online tools which can detect the spamming content on the website.

As Twitter runs an open platform for expressing views, they encourage and guide the users till we follow the Twitter rules. Twitter has upgraded their website with new features where users can read the tweets shared related to the categories on the homepage without even signing in. But registered users can only read and post tweets.
