Bank of America was working since many days to withdraw money from an ATM with Apple Pay. Now, it has started supporting smartphone users to get cash at cardless ATMs.
Apple Pay is a mobile payment and digital wallet introduced by Apple Inc. for users to make payments using Apple Watch, iPad, iPhone 5 and later models.
Bank of America has posted,
Now at selected Bank of America ATMs, you can make withdrawals using an eligible smartphone. Set up is easy - At the ATM, select Bank of America debit card in your digital wallet. Hold your phone at the contactless reader and access your card in your wallet with the touch of your finger. Then enter debit card PIN on ATM and start your transaction.
However, Apple Pay functionalities are available only at selected ATMs which have NFC reader and Apple Pay logo to do transactions. So check these features and logos before you try to do any transaction.
Bank of America has share the list of some eligible cards at our ATMs are Consumer Debit Cards, US Trust Debit Cards, Small Business Debit Cards (owner cards only). And the ability to deposit funds is not yet available.

With the technology that we have right now, it's not surprising that you were able to write an article about this cardless atms and how the bank of America approved it. For me it's still a bit scary and risky since there are a lot of intelligent hackers leaching through bank accounts.
