Truecaller has introduced a new update that let users identify unknown numbers from messaging apps. The recently live caller ID feature has boosted the Truecaller users and now with the latest update it is going to gain more android users.
Truecaller expands its service by identifying unknown numbers from messaging apps like Whatsapp, Line, Viber and Telegram apps. This is not the automatically turned on feature, you need to turn on the feature by moving on to Truecaller settings menu and select general then tap on messaging apps.
This will enable users to get notified when they receive a message unknown number. Some bugs need to be fixed, as it can detect the unknown numbers sometimes and not every time. This feature works only for Android users and iPhone have to wait for the official announcement.
On their recent Smart Call History update, users were able to detect the unknown numbers right from the app with their real names and photos from Truecaller database. The Availability feature shows a green and red dot beside the contact to tell if they are busy or available respectively to allow you chat with them. The chat feature works only if both the contacts have Truecaller on their mobiles.
