Freedom 251 Smartphone Maker Planning To Launch Cheapest LED TV Sets
Freedom 25, world's cheapest smartphone which is available at a price Rs. 251. The maker Ringing Bells is getting ready to launch the products for their customers who have requested for cash on delivery.

Ringing Bells in a statement, once it's done with the first phase of delivery to the customers from June 30 we will soon open the registrations again for those who wish to buy the handset.

The company CEO - Goel said,

We are facing a loss of Rs 140 to Rs 150 in each product but hoping to make a profit on volumes. We will have a loss, but we are happy that the dream of connecting rural and poor as a part of 'Digital India' and 'Make in India' initiatives has been fulfilled with Freedom 251.

Freedom 251 is going to be available in 2 color variants both black and white. And features 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB ROM (expanded up to 32GB), 8 MP rear camera with flash, 3.2 MP front camera, Dual SIM, 1800 mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Goel said,

We are planning to launch a cheapest 'Freedom' 32-inch HD LED TV which would be available for less than Rs. 10,000. And within 2 days, the delivery would be done and we will sell them online.

 The normal cost of 32-inch HD LED TV which is sold currently are around Rs. 3,000 in the market.

Apple Pay Users Can Withdraw Money At Bank Of America Cardless ATMs
Bank of America was working since many days to withdraw money from an ATM with Apple Pay. Now, it has started supporting smartphone users to get cash at cardless ATMs.


Apple Pay is a mobile payment and digital wallet introduced by Apple Inc. for users to make payments using Apple Watch, iPad, iPhone 5 and later models.

Bank of America has posted,

Now at selected Bank of America ATMs, you can make withdrawals using an eligible smartphone. Set up is easy - At the ATM, select Bank of America debit card in your digital wallet. Hold your phone at the contactless reader and access your card in your wallet with the touch of your finger. Then enter debit card PIN on ATM and start your transaction.

However, Apple Pay functionalities are available only at selected ATMs which have NFC reader and Apple Pay logo to do transactions. So check these features and logos before you try to do any transaction.

Bank of America has share the list of some eligible cards at our ATMs are Consumer Debit Cards, US Trust Debit Cards, Small Business Debit Cards (owner cards only). And the ability to deposit funds is not yet available.

Moto G4 India Launch Date Revealed
Motorola launched Moto G4 and G4 Plus in the month of May and however launched G4 plus via Amazon India later. At the time, Moto G4 price and the launch date were not revealed by the Company.

Now the company has announced that Moto G4 will go on sale from June 22 on Amazon India exclusive. The price is suspense yet, moving to the specifications the phone comes with Marshmallow and has a 5.5 FHD display with corning glass 3, Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor.

Moto G4 features 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage that can be expandable up to 128 GB. There is a 13 MP rear camera with dual LED flash and 5 MP front camera with wide lens angle. It supports Dual SIM (Micro and Nano SIM) for calling facility. The battery has a 3000 mAH capacity and support turbocharging. The phone is going to be available in two color variants one is black and other is white.

Moto G4 Plus has launched 2 GB RAM + 16 GB internal storage version at a price of Rs 13,499 and 3 GB + 32 GB internal storage version at a price of Rs 14,999. Comparing to Moto G4 Plus, Moto G4 price would be less and can be expected at a price of Rs 11,999 (includes 2 years of Google Photos storage with original clarity).

Ringing Bells To Start Shipping Freedom 251 Smartphones
Freedom 251 is the most controversy and awaited cheapest smartphone in the world., which promised to deliver its smartphones at just Rs. 251 with extra Rs. 40 against delivery charges.

Mohit Goel - Company Director said in a statement,

We will start shipping Freedom 251 smartphone from 28th June to 30000 customers who ordered the handset via cash on delivery option. The expected closure for delivering all the handsets to the customers will be 30th June.

The Company has already refunded back the money to the customers who have done the online payment. As per the instructions received by Government, the Company is starting to hand deliver the handsets to 30000 customers who have chose COD.

If you're among those 30000 customers then you will receive the handset on the address mentioned while booking online. Till now there is nothing revealed by officials or government so we cannot say anything about the company but have to wait till the handsets reach to the customers.

Once the delivering of handsets completes, the company may again display order now option if it is legit. Please let us know about your views on the Freedom 251 smartphone after receiving it from Ringing Bells.

Sony Unveils Xperia X Series Smartphones In The Market
Sony announced its first X series smartphones which are known to be Xperia X and Xperia XA. Sony claims that these two smartphones will have a long lasting battery up to two days and fast photo capturing feature.

The company in a statement said
These smartphones have a new layer of intelligent technology and Xperia features the best battery, camera and design.
Sony Xperia X features a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor, 5-inch Full HD display and has a 3 GB RAM. It comes in two variants one offers 32 GB of internal storage for single SIM and another offers 64 GB internal storage for dual SIM along with a support of microSD card up to 200 GB. It has 23 MP primary and 13 MP wide-angle secondary cameras to take high-definition images. The device runs on Android Marshmallow and comes with a battery capacity of 2620 mAh.

Similarly, Xperia XA features a 64-bit MediaTek MT6755 processor, 5-inch HD edge to edge display and has a 2 GB RAM. It comes on a single variant i.e. 16 GB of internal storage and supports micro SD card up to 200 GB. It offers 13 MP primary and 8 MP secondary cameras. This device also works on Android Marshmallow and comes with a battery capacity of 2300 mAh.

Sony claims that both the cameras will open up in just 0.6 sec to capture images. Sony X is priced at Rs 48990 and will be available in the market from 6th June while XA is priced at Rs 20990 from thr third week of June.

Both variants are available in White, Graphite Black, Lime Gold, and Rose Gold colors.

HTC Says Android N Update Will Be Available On HTC 10, One A9 And One M9
HTC (High Tech Computer Corporation) is a multinational smartphone manufacturer company which has developed many devices to the users around the world. HTC has already released Marshmallow update to many of its devices in past few months.

On May 18, HTC shared a post on its US website saying
We are excited to see Android N and get it into HTC smartphone customers' hands. Also added - Timing and additional devices to receive the update will be announced later this year when Google ships Android N to manufacturers, below the attached image. 
Google has basically released the first developer preview of Android N and said the update will be rolled out to Nexus devices later this summer after completion of the final software.

This statement might make you wondering if you are a non-Nexus smartphone customer. But there is good news for all HTC smartphone users. HTC has officially announced on their Twitter page that Android N update will be soon available for HTC 10, HTC One A0, and HTC One M9, which are the last three phones they have released into the market.

India's Single Emergency Contact Number Will Be '112' From January 1
India's single point of contact for any emergency will be '112' from January 1, 2017. To help people reach immediate services of police, ambulance, disaster or fire department government has decided to launch this number.

A senior government official told PTI,
The single emergency number '112' will be operational from January 1, 2017.
Telecom Minister Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad has also approved the provision of the single emergency number for all emergency services that would we similar to US emergency service number '911' .

The service would be accessible even through all the SIM cards and Landline whose outgoing call facility is stopped or temporarily suspended.

Whenever a person dials to 112 emergency service number, will be redirected to the concerned department immediately for help. At present different emergency numbers are police (100), fire department (101), ambulance (102) and disaster department (108).

From January 1, all the mobile phones will have a panic button and GPS navigation system. Users need to feed '112' as a panic button number to dial in any emergency.

Doordarshan Started Free Services For Smartphones
India's Public Service Broadcaster Doordarshan to attract Smartphone users with their new free TV services over 16 cities including metro cities.

Doordarshan said,

Digital Terrestrial Television services of Doordarshan have started operation from February 25th, 2016  in 16 cities, providing services for free without any charges for watching DD channels on Smartphones.

The 16 cities are Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chennai, Cuttack, Delhi, Guwahati, Mumbai, Indore, Jalandhar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, Raipur, and Ranchi.

The free TV services can be used in and around these cities by using DVB-T2 dongles on Smartphones and tablets via OTG cable, Wi-Fi dongles for moving vehicles, besides the TV sets having built-in DVB-TV tuner which are called to be Integrated Digital TV (iDTV).

While the iDTV services are available already in many of the Panasonic, Sony, Samsung and LG etc, users can buy the dongles from online stores like Ebay, Flipkart, Snapdeal etc. Users need to download the software and plug these dongles to their Smartphones and tablets to enjoy watching DD channels.

Android N Redesigned Look With New UI System Settings
Google has started working on new android version, recently few images are leaked online with new UI design. These images were spotted on Android Police showing the Android N new UI system settings.

These settings in the images are having few differences between Marshmallow and N. In the above image you can see the in the left (Current UI) and centre, right (Android N). The new N version shows additional information of the items like data usage and description with Do not disturb alarms only pop up link.

If you click on any of the items on the main screen and go level deep then you can see Hamburger menu which is to help users to navigate between different areas of the settings. However, we are not going to see the similar lined items instead we can see the individual sections like Device, Wireless and Settings.

Google is going to keeping the old menu which enables users to understand the navigation and settings. Almost all the items in the settings are same but the notifications and sound items have been split into Hamburg menu on the N version.

Although its not revealed that Android N version will be release by the end of 2016.

Government To Take Action against Ringing Bells If Fail To Deliver
Recently, a phone called Freedom 251 has released a order now option to customers for buying the product at Rs. 251. There was huge response by customers to get the product as many of them have booked but not yet received the confirmation link to buy the product.

As per the Hindu report, Communications and IT Minister Ravi S Prasad said
we have received lot of communication raising doubts over the company and on their plan. we are doing an inquiry that how prepared they are and whether they can provide the delivery of the product with the price mentioned or not and do they have BIS certification or not.
Following to the query, the Department heads of Ringing Bells Pvt Ltd. have met the government officials and explain their business model. The department will have to examine these responses made by them.

The minister added
They have said they will deliver the product as promised and we have taken a stock of their preparedness so that there won't be any discrepancy later. If they fail to deliver from April they as per the law an action will be taken on the company.
However, the company claims that they have received 6 crore people registrations for its product. And has made a promise that they are going to deliver 50 lakh handsets by June 30, 2016. Out of which 25 lakh will be through online orders and the rest are offline sales.

We should wait till April and await for the next confirmation details about the product delivery.
