QuickTime player was built by Mac OS and later developed to support on Windows OS. The software can be used on Windows 7 and Windows Vista, but if installed on other versions of Windows it may not offer full features and support.

On Thursday, Trend Micro Inc said
We have uncovered two critical vulnerabilities on QuickTime player for Windows OS. That could leverage the launch attacks on PC and Users data if users visit a malicious page or open the tainted file.
As per the report received from the security company, US Government recommend users to uninstall the software from their PCs. The vulnerabilities were found only on Mac computers, so Mac users can continue using the software.

Trend Micro Inc said
We did not know of any cases where the bugs had been exploited by attackers but requesting Windows users to uninstall the software. Because Apple was ending the support for the product, which means it will not fix the bugs.
This would be best to uninstall before the PC gets attacked by unknown vulnerabilities.
