About Keyboard

Keyboard is a typewriter-style electronic device created by Qwert Yuiop, which consists of keys or buttons that produce letters, digits and specific symbols. Keyboard is used to type the data information into the PC or a file. Now presently we have two types of keyboards which are wired and wireless.

Following are the keys which will help you in saving your time

1. Ctrl + C and Ctrl + A

Copy the highlighted text and select the whole text.

2. Ctrl + V or Shift + Insert

Paste the text which is copied in the clipboard.

3. Ctrl + Z and Ctrl + Y

Undo any changes made. Pressing Ctrl + Y would redo the undo changes.

4. Ctrl + F

Open the Find in any program. This includes your Internet browser, Firefox and etc.., to find text on the current page.

5. Alt + Tab or Alt + Esc

It will switches the open programs to move forward.

Tips:


  • Press Ctrl + Tab to switch between tabs in a program.
  • Press Ctrl + page down or page up will move front and back tabs
  • Ctrl + Tab will move to the tabs only in one direction.
  • Both Vista and Windows 7 users can press the Windows Key + Tab to switch through open programs in a full screen shot of the Window.
6. Ctrl + Back space and Ctrl + Left or Right arrow

Use to control the words using the below tips.

Tips:


  • Pressing Ctrl + Backspace will delete a full word forward at a time instead of a single character.
  • Holding the Ctrl + left/right arrow will move the cursor to one word forward or backward instead of one character.
  • If you want to highlight one word at a time you can hold down Ctrl + Shift and then press the left/right arrow key to move one word at a time in that direction while highlighting each word. 
7. Ctrl + S

This is mostly used to save the data while writing any document or other file.

Tip:

Pressing Ctrl + S will save that file. This shortcut key is used to save the file when any sudden problem occurs.

8. Ctrl + Home or Ctrl + End

This will move to the beginning or ending of a document.

9. Ctrl + P

This will print the pages of the document.

10. Page Up, Page Down and Space bar

Pressing the page up or page down key will move one page at a time in that direction. While browsing press Space bar to read the pages down.

Tip:

If you press Windows button and Space bar, the desktop screen will be shown and when you leave it then the viewing file or page will appear.
