The most popular social messaging app, WhatsApp has announced that the company is going to discontinue support for Blackberry devices and also for Nokia devices by 2017. After Facebook acquired WhatsApp there are many upgrades and changes are coming up.

WhatsApp announcement states that the support will be discontinued for all Blackberry phones including Blackberry 10. The other companies getting affected are Nokia S40, Symbian S80 and Android version 2.2 phones including Windows Phone 7.1 by the end of 2016.

It was a tough decision for us but in order to give people better way of communication with their friends, family and colleagues, we have to go for it.
The company also recommends its users to upgrade their android devices from 2.2 and other company phones to higher OS versions. By seeing this post, we can understand that they are promoting the old mobile phone users to buy new mobile phones by 2017.
