The Indian railway has also made changes to the chart preparation system, the first chart will be released before 4 hours from the departure time and the second will be released before 30 minutes which is final.
Booking of train tickets is available both online and nearest ticket counters for a particular train subjected to the availability of trains, even after the making ready of first reservation chart.
This system has been started from 12th November 2015 at all the railway stations, to facilitate the passengers to plan their journey with the latest confirmation of status shown in the charts. The finalized chart will be handed over to the onboard ticketing staff before departure of the train.
The new booking process will not only useful for the passengers accommodation but also the railway staff to enhance their earnings.
