Skype launches a premium group video calling feature which is available free for your Windows OS, XBOX and Mac OS X platform users. This feature is provided to all the premium subscribers of Skype for $8.99/month. Skype reveals this feature to compete with Google Hangouts, which is not practicable for Microsoft to release this feature on Hangouts.

Skype has released an official announcement on their official blog about this new group video calling feature for everyone who is using Windows OS, XBOX and Mac OS X platforms. Skype also assured that it is going to release this feature in other platforms as soon as possible.

We all knew that Skype is one of the best and popular video calling the application in the world. This is an added feature on Skype as a group video calling, can only be accessible for paid subscribers.

Skype group video calling feature can enable 10 users for video conference or chat in a real-time. For the  finest experience, the participants can be 5 people announced by the possessor of Skype. The free calls by default come with a free usage limit of 10 hours/day and 100 hours/month limit. Also, single video calls are limited to 4 hours/day, if extends the limit then Skype will turn off the video call and convert into a regular voice call.
