Apple Music Offers 50 Percent Discount Plan For Students

Apple Music has gained more popularity since past few months and has around 13 million subscribers. It offers two new plans for subscribers namely Individual and Family plan, now exclusively offers 50 percent discount plan for students.

Under the Student plan, the membership costs $4.99 per month and compared to existing individual membership $9.99 per month the student plans is equal to 50% discount. And made changes to the existing family membership which costs $14.99 per month and includes up to 6 people.

Apple Music says,

Currently, the Student plan is available only in Australia and New Zealand, soon will be made available in Denmark, Germany, Ireland, UK, and the US. The Student plan will be applicable for both new and existing subscribers. Under any plan, users can start using the app for free under 3-month trial period and later have to go with membership plans. Users have a facility to change the membership plans from the Official Website or Apple Music app.

Apple Music requested UNiDAYS to handle the Student plan approval process, which is a student verification technology provider. Students will be a part of eligible college or university to avail the membership plan up to 4 years and adds an option to include student's breaks in between.

There is no announcement made whether the Student membership will be available to other countries including India. Recently, Apple Music has released the app for Indian users at a cost of Rs 120 per month for Individual membership and for Family membership it costs Rs 190 after a 3-month free trial of the service.
