Google welcomes new Google Allo and Duo babies to all Googlers for smart messaging and video calling. Google has shared the preview of these two apps that take a fresh new look on how people connect with each other.
Introducing Allo,
Allo is a smart messaging app service that makes your conversations easier and more expressive. It is fully based on your phone number, so you can get in touch with your contacts easily. Allo has smart features like Emojis, Stickers, Ink, Whisper shout and also has a smart reply built-in feature, which let you respond to messages without typing a single word.
The smart reply works on showing suggestions to replies in your style and on photos proving intelligent suggestions related to the content of the photo. Allo also features the Google assistant, bringing the richness of Google directly into your chats to help you find information and getting things done to have fun. Allo lets you bring things like Search, Maps, YouTube and Translate to all conversations so that you and your friends can use Google together.
Allo cares for your privacy and created an incognito mode to add end-to-end encryption in chats and discrete notifications. Also confirms that more features will be added in coming days.
Introducing Duo,
Duo is a simple video calling app for everyone and works perfectly on Android and iOS. Similar to Allo, Duo is based on phone number and let you connect with your contacts easily. Using its simple interface moves out when you are in a call, so it's just the two of you.
One of the best features of Duo is Knock Knock, which lets you the see the live preview video of the caller before you pick the call. Once you answer, Duo seamlessly transitions you right into the call.
Duo can record calls in HD video quality (up to 720p) and audio. Duo is optimized and if bandwidth is limited it will automatically adjust the quality so that you can still be able to connect. Finally, when we come to privacy it adds end-to-end encryption protection to secure your private chats on Duo app.
In the last Google on his blog post said,
Currently Android users can head over to GooglePlay to pre-order both Allo and Duo messaging apps. And said that both apps will be available for you to download on Android and iOS by this summer.
