VertiGo is a small 4-wheeler robot car that can drive from ground to the wall. The car has two tiltable propellers that provide thrust on the wall and to the four wheels. The front two wheels are steerable and each propeller has two degrees of freedom to adjust the direction of thrust. VertiGo proves that the robots not only drive on the ground but also on the walls.
The robot car can drive on the walls quickly without any disturbance in moving on to the wall surface. Here you can the image of the car which seems to be light weight and the body is printed using a 3D printer. The thrust is applied on both towards the wall using front propellers, it uses the fans which are fixed on the car will make it drive on the walls by applying thrust.
To enable a human to operate this car onboard computer is incorporated as a controller. It uses 6-axis IMU in the centre of the robot as well as two infrared distance sensors are mounted on the front side to estimate the orientation in space. To achieve the desired output the controller devices the best positions for all actuators based on the attitude information.
Maybe this is going to be released in the year 2016, which would be a gift from Disney to the people around the world.
